ABOUT US

The Del-Mar, a popular East London diner, was established in 1953 by a couple named Del & Marie. The original Del-Mar was one block East from the current location. Like many diners in the 50's, the restaurant was built by joining two old railroad boxcars.

Gus will always smile when customers ask questions about the old Del-Mar. Old pictures of the 50's diner and other old landmarks encourage customers to reminisce. Over the years the restaurant has remained a family diner. Customers still get homestyle meals, great burgers and friendly service by reliable staff -- all overseen by Gus, the respected owner.
